For many blog owners, they fail to capitalize on search engine traffic because they don’t understand how search engines work and how important it is for their blogs to rank high for their chosen keywords. This is one reason you’ll see so many bloggers fail to earn money online.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. It can be done in 3 simple steps. These three steps can increase browsers to your site which may make the difference between a blog that builds the blogger virtually no income or a blog that creates wealth for the Blogger.

Here are a few simple tips to optimize every post you upload and take advantage of free search engine traffic.

For starters, you should make certain your article url’s are optimized for the search engines. With a blog platform like Blogger, this is automatically done for you. If you’re a WordPress user, then set your url structure so that WordPress will produce SEO optimized url’s when you create a blog entry.

To do this in WordPress is to click on the Permalinks tab, and click the radio button along side the Custom field. Then you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percent symbol. Now all your blog post will have SEO optimized addresses.

Next, your main keyword should be in the Title of the blog. For example, if you’re blogging about how to earn extra cash, then you’ll want these keywords in your Blog’s title. What you don’t want to do is put unrelated keywords in your Title. Using the keywords in the Title, then you’ll rank higher than if you name your blog something that does not relate to your main keyword.

The next important step is to write your keywords in your Post’s title. If you’re targeting blog readers to click on your post about online auctions to to make extra money, then your keywords need to be in your post title. Forget about using non relevant titles like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and prevents search engine users from finding your blog post. If you’re blog is monetized with Adsense, this tip will increase traffic while showing the highest paying ads for an increase in the pay per click you receive.

These 3 tips will be helping the Search Engines understand what your post and blog are about. By taking a little extra time and making it easy for the search engines to know what subject your blog post is about, they’ll rank your blog higher than a non-optimized blog.

Building links to each of your optimized post is the last step in dominating the search engine rankings with your blog post. But alas, there isn’t enough room here to go ito the details of link building. Get used to optimizing your blog and blog post before tackling the chore of building links to your site.
